Joyce Park, CTO of Renkoo, talks about the ups and downs of developing applications for Facebook, which she says is tightening up controls on developers after some bad actors used spam and other dirty tricks to increase their user base.

Those restrictions are now making it harder for all developers to get the kind of viral boost that helped so many apps take off, including successful ones made by Renkoo.

More than 30 million users on Facebook and MySpace have used the company's apps, Haikoo Zoo and BoozeMail. The startup also operates the social planning site Renkoo.com

We caught up with Joyce after she spoke on a panel at the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco, where she let us in on the company's future plans for launching social goods, plus gave us a small scoop that later this week Renkoo is launching a new tank battle game on Facebook called Warbots.
